​Becky Sargis, B.S., M.Ed.  -  Executive Director &

With over two decades of experience in education, I am a dedicated and passionate educator committed to fostering meaningful learning experiences and empowering those around me. My journey in education began at the foundational level, where I developed a deep understanding of student needs, and progressed through years of hands-on experience that ultimately led me to open my own school in 2022.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a Master’s degree in Education, which have equipped me with both the academic knowledge and practical expertise to deliver high-quality, student-centered education. The school I founded was built on a clear vision: to provide an environment where every child receives the support, guidance, and individualized attention necessary to succeed academically and personally.

Central to my leadership is a strong commitment to supporting not only students, but also staff, families, and the broader community. I believe that education thrives when it is rooted in collaboration, trust, and shared purpose. By cultivating a culture of encouragement and respect, I strive to create a space where everyone feels valued and empowered.
I am especially passionate about inspiring others to embrace their authentic selves and pursue their goals with confidence. I believe that when individuals are supported and encouraged, they are more likely to achieve success and contribute positively to those around them. This philosophy drives my work each day, as I continue to lead with purpose, compassion, and a deep commitment to collective growth and success.

Candice Lenz, A.A.- Lead Toddler Guide

Ms. Candice joined The Children’s Institute at Jericho in August 2022, bringing with her a Montessori Diploma and ongoing studies toward a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, with a specialization in Special Education. She has over eleven years of volunteer experience with a variety of organizations and schools, where she has shared her interests in cooking, animal care, photography, and horticulture to enhance learning and community engagement.

Beginning her tenure as an assistant teacher, Ms. Candice quickly demonstrated a strong commitment to early childhood education. She is dedicated to supporting each child’s individual growth and takes pride in fostering curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to embrace new challenges. Recognizing the uniqueness of every student, she values the opportunity to guide children through critical stages of development. Ms. Candice looks forward to partnering with families to support and enrich the educational experiences of all students at The Children’s Institute at Jericho.
